Pricing questions

What is a standard minute?

One minute of one job on the standard runner (2 cores, 8 GB) — what ubuntu-latest runs on. A 4-core runner draws two standard minutes per minute and an 8-core runner four, in the same proportion GitHub bills them. Every plan includes larger runners; nothing is billed by size.

What happens when I use my allowance?

Jobs keep running. Minutes past the allowance are $0.004 each, billed monthly in arrears — exactly half of GitHub's standard rate — so a busy month stays at half. If it keeps happening, the next plan up includes more.

Is it really half the price?

Against GitHub-hosted minutes you pay for, yes, at the usage each plan is sized for and beyond: every included minute is priced at a quarter to a third of GitHub’s rate, and overage at exactly half. A team inside GitHub’s included minutes pays GitHub nothing for minutes, and the calculator will tell you so.

What does the trial include?

10 days on Team limits with 3,000 standard minutes, no card. When it ends, runs stop and each push records a verdict saying so; the App stays installed, so choosing a plan is one click and nothing is configured again.

Do I pay per person?

No. Every plan has unlimited people. The plan is sized by minutes, concurrency and organisations, not head-count.

Can I pay annually or by invoice?

Annual billing is two months free on every plan. Business can be invoiced; Starter and Team are by card. Enterprise is by agreement.

What is Enterprise?

A different runner class, not a bigger allowance: a faster machine at every size with twice the memory per job, capacity dedicated to you, retention and data residency to your policy, and your procurement process. It starts at $1,500 a month on an annual agreement.

How do I cancel?

From the app, at any time. The plan runs to the end of the period already paid, and uninstalling the GitHub App is the whole rollback — the next push runs on GitHub-hosted runners again.

Ten days, no card, one repository.

Install the App, push, and see what the pull request tells you.
