Apex Actions is a hosted CI service that runs GitHub Actions workflows unchanged — faster, at half the price, with the answers GitHub never gave you.
What we build
Apex Actions runs GitHub Actions workflows, unchanged, on runners we operate. Teams install a GitHub App, choose a plan, and push. Jobs start in seconds, larger runners are included, the bill is one subscription, and every pull request learns why a run happened, which test is flaky, which step was slow, and how to reproduce a failure locally.
Why
GitHub Actions won because the workflow file is good. Everything around it — the queue, the per-minute bill, the silence when nothing runs, the spreadsheet of flaky tests — is where teams lose hours every week. We kept the file and rebuilt everything around it.
How we work
- Compatibility is the product. Every documented GitHub Actions behaviour has a conformance fixture, and a change lands only with a fixture proving it still matches.
- Secrets are write-only values. They are never logged, never printed, never snapshotted — including in our own tests.
- The system shows its working. If Apex decided something — that a workflow did not run, that a test is flaky, that a step was slow — it can tell you why.
